Administration Denounces 'Democratic Fabrication' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photos Released
House Democrats have published a new tranche of what they labeled "alarming" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—along with another 70 released later on Friday account for a small number of the nearly 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking charges.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Featured among the notable figures shown in the initial batch are public figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
White House Reaction
The White House responded to the release in a statement, accusing Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the photographs for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false account."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson remarked, maintaining that "the Trump administration has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding openness, disclosing thousands of pages of documents, and demanding more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Democratic Lawmaker Remarks
The photographs were disclosed devoid of explanation, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's links with affluent people.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House concealment and bring justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he said in a statement.
The disclosure of these materials comes as the House panel proceeding with its investigation into the affair.
